Beyond Boundaries Capital Campaign

Shape Our Campus, Define Our Future

Rio Grande’s Beyond Boundaries Capital Campaign is about creating a campus that fully reflects the

learning already happening here every day — a place where intellect is challenged, imagination is inspired,

and each child’s desire to learn is nurtured. Rooted in our mission and core values, this effort will bring our

facilities up to the level of our program and open new possibilities for students now and in the years ahead.

Phases

The campaign unfolds in three thoughtful phases designed to strengthen our academic and co-curricular programs while keeping student life steady throughout construction.

Phase I: Co-Curricular Hub

We begin with the Co-Curricular Hub — a purpose-built home for Visual Art, Science, and Performing Arts. This new building will support hands-on exploration, interdisciplinary learning, and creative collaboration, all essential to the Rio Grande experience.

Phase II: Upper Grades & Early Childhood

Next, we will build a new 4th–6th grade facility designed for older elementary students ready for deeper inquiry and growing independence. At the same time, we will renovate the current 5th/6th building into a dedicated Early Childhood Center, giving our youngest learners a space carefully designed for their developmental needs.

Phase III: Campus Landscape & Outdoor Learning

Finally, we will complete the master plan through outdoor learning environments and campus landscaping: connected pathways, gathering areas, native plantings, and nature-based play and discovery zones that invite students to learn with — and care for — the natural world around them. Throughout every phase, construction is planned so students remain in their current spaces and daily school rhythms continue without disruption.
