The Project

After 45 years, our campus stands as a testament to the care and dedication of those who came before us.

The Early Childhood building and the Art/Science portable have reached the end of their lifespan. This gives us the opportunity to create new learning spaces where current and future students can thrive and be inspired.

We are redesigning our campus with our core values—academic challenge, interdisciplinary learning, and environmental stewardship—at the center. We envision spaces that support innovative, hands-on learning and reflect the future of Rio Grande School.

Improved Campus Flow – Redesigned pathways and building placements that support intuitive navigation, safety, and a sense of community.

Nature Play Zones – Engaging outdoor environments that inspire creativity, physical activity, and unstructured exploration.

Upgraded Classroom Spaces – Adaptable learning environments that support collaboration, innovation, and varied teaching approaches.

Unified Campus Layout – A cohesive design that strengthens connections between buildings and promotes interdisciplinary learning.

Sustainability & Stewardship – Eco-conscious infrastructure and landscape elements that model environmental responsibility and integrate with student learning.
